The new site is built on Google’s Polymer framework to improve performance and reliability. But there are a couple of reason, why you might not like the new material design of YouTube desktop. For instance – So, for any reason, you don’t like the new YouTube layout, and want to go back to the old YouTube layout, then here is how to do that. Click on your user icon in the top right corner. Click on “Restore old YouTube”. Provide a reason why you’re going back. Click “Submit”. And that’s it, YouTube will revert back to old layout.
